About Carley Bowman
Carley Bowman is a journalist, commentator, media consultant and founder of Carley Bowman Media Limited.
She specialises in digital video, drawing on 15 years experience developing and creating content for new and emerging digital platforms at the UK’s biggest news broadcasters – the BBC and Sky News.
She is passionate about telling stories and giving people the information they want, when and how they want it.
By experimenting and working with different video formats over many years, Carley has developed an in-depth understanding of what works and what doesn’t. She knows how to reach and engage audiences on desktop, mobile, tablet and social media.
As a digital journalist, she covered some of the biggest stories of the past two decades, from the Omagh bombing in 1998, the Concorde crash in 2000 and the September 11 terror attacks, to the Japan tsunami, the royal wedding of William and Kate, the economic crash, UK General Elections, US Presidential elections, the Iraq War, the Arab Spring and conflict in Syria.
She is a natural leader, having recruited and managed large editorial teams, led them through periods of editorial change and delivered projects to improve workflow and efficiency.
Carley says: “I believe strong leadership is vital to a successful business. Giving staff the skills, resources and support they need to succeed is the key.”
